From Burnout to Balance

Not that long ago, I was in a season of constant hustle. I was deep in the corporate grind, often working late into the night, always “on,” always reachable. I’d answer emails at 10 p.m., take calls after bedtime routines, and mentally carry my to-do list everywhere I went. Even when I was physically present with my family, my mind was elsewhere.

And while I loved the impact of my work, I didn’t love who I was becoming. I was stretched too thin, disconnected from the people who mattered most, and completely neglecting myself—my health, my sleep, even basic things like moving my body or eating well. It wasn’t sustainable. And after returning from my third maternity leave, I finally listened to that quiet voice telling me something had to give.

So I took a leap.

I walked away from a career I had poured so much into, not because I didn’t love it—but because I needed to love myself and my family more.

That decision changed everything.

With space to breathe, I started putting myself back on the priority list. I joined a local gym, found a supportive community, and rediscovered how good it felt to move my body. That one choice had a ripple effect: I started eating better, sleeping better, feeling more like me again.

From there, the shift flowed into our home. I began paying closer attention to what we were eating, cooking more nourishing meals, and asking better questions about what we were using on our bodies and in our space. Cleaning products, candles, body wash, even our laundry soap—I slowly began swapping out the toxins for better alternatives.

That’s when I reconnected with essential oils and non-toxic living. It no longer felt overwhelming—it felt empowering. I found tools that helped me care for my family naturally, and a community of women who were just as passionate about living with intention and wellness.

Today, I’m still working—but in a way that aligns with my values. I get to support others on their own wellness journeys. I get to be there for the moments that matter. And most of all, I get to show up fully—at home, for my kids, and for myself.

If you’re craving a similar shift, you’re not alone.

It doesn’t have to happen all at once. It starts with small changes that build momentum—one habit, one swap, one step at a time.
